The Mighty - People Helping People
Slow cooking as Self Care | An Online Health Community
You can post and read about healthful eating, get support, give support around this form of self-care. Feel free to share notes about what foods give you energy help you to feel positive, and which ones maybe cause lethargy or brain fog. Share your successes and challenges around eating when preparing slow food. Slow food is the opposite of fast food. It is not processed or minimally processed. It takes some time to prepare. It is usually made using Whole Foods and is more nutrient dense because of this. For people who are sensitive to chemicals and additives, keeping these out of your diet may be a big game changer. This group is not meant to be focused on weight loss or gain but simply a healthy relationship with food, and I’m placing value on this as a form of self-care and self love.
